Stratégies develops and markets the Romans CAD Software©™ digital platform, dedicated to the footwear, leather goods, and broader flexible materials industries.
The story began in 1988 when a group of passionate engineers decided that 3D CAD technologies should enable the fashion industries to imagine, design, and model their products while facilitating their manufacturing. The Romans CAD project was thus born in cooperation with leading French luxury footwear manufacturers.
In 1995, the first 3D software dedicated to footwear last design was introduced to the market. This pioneering module was progressively expanded into a complete suite of solutions including 2D, 3D, SL, lighting, and Sketch 3D tools.
The need to generate, modify, structure, and manage product development data (materials, components, tooling) led to the development of the technical data management system Romans CAD DM (PDM). To maximize productivity, this module was fully integrated into all Romans CAD solutions, giving birth to a unified digital industry platform.
Our clients, among the most prestigious in the world, quickly adopted Romans CAD DM and achieved productivity gains exceeding 50%.
By continuously supporting our customers in the deployment and evolution of the Romans CAD digital platform, we have consistently enhanced the solution, aligning it with industrial needs, performance requirements, and increasing sustainability expectations.
Today, the platform continues to evolve with its latest release, RCS 2026 – V16, marking a new step in the unification of design, engineering, and production workflows.
